Goals

Here's some stuff we're up to this week:

Thumbprint 1.1 for iOS is under development. This will allow our iOS 7 users to see the app with a more updated look. Don't worry if you're still on iOS 6 - we're taking care to make sure that you'll be able to continue to use the app as-is until you upgrade.

Web app development is going well. We've got the ability to view, create and edit all the content types. Now comes the tricky business of making our click drag & drop and bucket functionality work in the browser. Should have some more update on that later in the week.

Goals

Thumbprint 1.03 is available on the App Store. Some users of right-to-left languages were experiencing trouble with Posts and Multiple Choice quizzes. That should be fixed now. Please make sure you download the latest update if you haven't already.

In other news, we are (I hope) about two months away from releasing the web app. As with all our development projects, this one is ambitious and on a tight timeline, but I'm confident we'll make it.  The dream was always to be as inclusive as possible with the platform, and I'm looking forward to the day when every internet-enabled device can be a node on the Thumbprint network.

Goals

A new year, some new goals. I'm tempted to put "learn to write 2014 instead of 2013 on cheques" at the top of the list, but let's aim a little higher:

  1. We're very close to a read-only version of the web app, where users can log in, view stuff and take quizzes. There's still tons to do after that, but it's a nice milestone to reach.

  2. Final preparations for our first round of pilot schools wraps up this week. Content and setup is nearly complete, and starting next week we'll have real classes torture-testing both the app and reports with their own content. The next few days will be spent going over everything three times to make sure nothing got missed.

The snowbank beside the parking lot here has over 10,000 cubic feet of snow in it, and that was before the blizzard warning. Hope it's sunny where you are.
